About Our School

Colegio Católico José Engling is a mixed private school that serves 900 students in grades  (Pk-12). Our school opened in September 2001 with only six students and four  employees. Ten years later, in July 2011, our school was already graduating its first senior  class of 21 students.

Our school is certified by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education, and in 2013, it also  became an International Baccalaureate Organization. Rank:

We provide class ranks to our students, but we evaluate them individually and emphasize their strengths.

The school's GPA is computed using the scale presented above. GPA is obtained from all reported marks in all subjects from the first year of primary school to the fifth year of secondary school. Additionally, each student has to complete a 200-hour community service graduation requirement (120 hours during the fifth year of secondary school and 80 hours during the sixth year of secondary school). All marks, including those achieved during students’ sixth year of secondary school, are recorded and included in school transcripts, which are sent to the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education.
